The walk along the beautiful Esplanade Avenue to the lively French Quarter was a highlight. We also loved the yoga class at Reyn Studios Power Yoga. Don't miss the great breakfast, it was a perfect start to our days!
Our stay wasn't perfect. we faced issues with outside light streaming into our room at night. Heavy draperies would have helped for better sleep.

Rich historical tours, Beautifully appointed historic rooms, Colonial architectural significance
Cleaning is subpar!!! The chaotic check-in process is a hassle!!! Hot water inconsistencies can ruin a stay!!! Maintenance issues like broken fixtures need to be prioritized!!! It's frustrating to contend with outdated facilities!!!

What you should know
The delightful Southern porch created a perfect morning ambiance, complemented by delicious breakfast and strong coffee. Engaging conversations with the friendly owner enriched our experience, offering valuable local insights.
We encountered maintenance issues, including peeling paint and inconsistent hot water. The atmosphere felt overshadowed by the outdated conditions of the property, which could use some attention.

Beautifully appointed historic rooms enhanced our stay.
During our stay, we faced several difficulties. The cleanliness of the room was disappointing, as it was not cleaned for two out of four days. Furthermore, the air conditioning unit was extremely loud, making it hard to sleep at night. It felt like we were overlooked, especially with poor mattress comfort and non-functioning lights throughout the room.

Family with children friendly experience
I would like to say that the house was charming with its old style, and they served the best breakfast I've ever had! The mini fridge was stocked, and we felt welcomed by all the staff, especially that fellow who cooked breakfast, Billy, who shared amazing local stories.
Although it wasn't inexpensive, it still felt fair for what we got.

The historic home offered a unique atmosphere, enhanced by a personal touch from the owner who provided valuable suggestions for local attractions. Breakfast featured a delightful southern meal, with highlights including fresh hash browns and excellent coffee. However, the room's outside light proved bothersome at night, and the lack of proper drapes affected sleep quality. Although parking was convenient, the noise level from outside occasionally disrupted our experience.

The historic charm of the Edgar Degas House was delightful, featuring beautiful French Quarter-style courtyards and ornate Victorian parlors that created a unique ambiance. The lovely artwork and antique furniture added to its inviting aesthetic.
